Hartford Public Library & Vanderlyn Community Center
Overview
Hartford Public Library & Arthur & Bonna Vanderlyn Community Center pairs modern community space with a long local legacy. Hartford’s library began as the Hartford Ladies’ Library in 1895 and became a district library in 1965; its current 8,900-square-foot facility opened in 2020 on the former Red Arrow Elementary School site. The center also houses the Van Buren Regional Genealogical Society, offering a valuable resource for exploring local and family history.
