DeGrandchamp Farms

Family-owned since 1958, DeGrandchamp Farms is a third-generation blueberry and cranberry farm located just three miles south of downtown South Haven. Founded by Vincent and Beatrice DeGrandchamp, the farm has grown into a beloved Southwest Michigan agritourism destination, offering seasonal U-Pick blueberries, a farm market, homemade treats and the opportunity to experience the region's rich agricultural heritage firsthand.

During July and August, families can head into the fields to pick their own blueberries, with more than 26 varieties ripening throughout the season. After filling a bucket, visit the farm's Ice Cream Shop for a fresh blueberry shake, hand-dipped ice cream or a signature Blueberry Crumble Sundae. The Farm Store and Bakery offer fresh and frozen blueberries, homemade fudge, donuts, Grandma D's Blueberry Buckle, jams, honey, salsas and other Michigan-made specialties. A shaded patio and outdoor gathering area provide a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a sweet taste of the farm.

Autumn brings an entirely different harvest to DeGrandchamp Farms as its cranberry bogs turn brilliant shades of red. Fresh cranberries are typically available in October and November, with the annual Cranberry Harvest Days offering visitors a rare opportunity to see the harvest in action. Held on the first two Saturdays of October, this seasonal celebration features trolley rides to the bogs, a behind-the-scenes look at cranberry sorting and packing, food trucks, local makers, children's activities and fall treats. It's an opportunity to experience one of Southwest Michigan's distinctive agricultural traditions and learn how cranberries make their journey from the bog to the table.
