Curt Bailey Woodworking

In 2019 Curt retired from a 37-year career as an industrial designer in the Detroit area. He is now fulfilling his dream to be an artist and furniture designer. He has a studio and shop in Royal Oak, Michigan near his home in Birmingham. He and his wife, Jenny, also have a home on Lake Michigan in Fennville. Curt’s goal has been to try to build all of his creations with found wood. Whether found on the side of the road or washed up on the beach, inspiration often comes from the wood itself. Additionally, a lifelong fascination with boat building methodologies has led to the creation of multiple pieces including the “stitch” collection of home furnishings.
