South Haven, MI – The Michigan Maritime Museum is delighted to announce the return of its
beloved seasonal celebration—Holidays at the Heritage Center—running now through
January 4, 2026. Each year, the Museum transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland filled
with festive décor, family-friendly activities, and holiday cheer for visitors of all ages.
This year's lineup includes returning favorites as well as new seasonal experiences:
Wednesday, December 17 | 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Holiday Twilight Concert featuring the Kal-Haven Strings
Immerse yourself in an enchanting twilight concert with the Kal-Haven Strings duet. Megan
Healy and Lydia Raymond will fill the evening with an uplifting blend of holiday favorites,
creating a festive and family-friendly atmosphere perfect for celebrating the season together. The concert is FREE with a donation of $5.00 or a non-perishable food item
Saturday, December 20 | 11:00am – 3:00pm
Selfies with Santa
The holiday excitement continues as Santa returns to the Maritime Heritage Center! Come
watch for Santa as he makes his entrance into the Deary-Mead Family Grand Atrium for photos,
warm chats, and plenty of holiday cheer. While you’re at the Museum, don’t miss the North Pole
refreshments being served in the Jerry Mason Learning Center. Selfies with Santa is a FREE event!
Saturday, December 20 | Readings at 12:00pm & 1:00pm
Cookies & Cocoa with Captain Bob
Before or after your Selfie with Santa, join Captain Bob as he reads books in the Jerry Mason
Learning Center from the newly updated Museum’s Ship’s Store. Sip hot cocoa, nibble cookies,
and soak in a warm, festive, family-friendly atmosphere full of holiday cheer. Cookies & Cocoa with Captain Bob is a FREE event!
Sunday, January 4 | FREE Admission 10:00am – 5:00pm - FREE First Sunday’s
Visitors invited to enjoy free museum admission on the first Sunday of each month from
November through April. This special offer gives both residents and visitors the opportunity to
explore the Museum’s exhibits and discover the rich maritime heritage of the Great Lakes region
at no cost. “This year has been one of growth and memorable milestones for the Museum,” said Executive
Director Bailey Sisoy-Moore. “Holidays at the Heritage Center gives us the chance to celebrate
community, spread seasonal cheer, and thank everyone who makes our mission possible. We
look forward to welcoming families, friends, and visitors for another magical year.”
