Black River Park and Boat Launch

Enjoy a day along the river!  This park sports a really nice kayak launch, so you can easily get into your kayak and on the water without getting wet. It's also the perfect spot to jump onto the Bangor/South Haven Heritage Water Trail and travel up the river enjoying the natural sights. It's even handicapped accessible so everyone can have the chance to enjoy this serene park.

Cable Street Tot Lot

From I-196: Exit 20, turn west off of exit ramp onto Phoenix Road. At 2nd light turn left onto Broadway then turn right onto Elkenberg Street. Go 1 block and turn left onto Center Street. Turn right onto Cable Avenue. Park has playground equipment, benches, and picnic tables. Free parking.

Chancy Lewis Park

520 South Main Street - Lawton
A wood playground with steps, bridges, monkey bars, rope ladders, shaky platforms and more. There is a separate Tot Lot area with small steps, a slide, a sandbox, monkey bars and large wooden cars to "drive."

Deerlick Creek Beach (South Haven Township Park)

From I-196: Exit 20, turn west off of exit ramp onto Phoenix Road. At the first light, turn south onto Blue Star Highway. Continue to 76th Street. Turn west onto 76th Street and go to 13th Avenue. 13th Avenue curves onto Roper and then back to 13th again. Follow it a short distance to the end and you will be in the beach access parking lot. Free parking. Portable toilets and dog friendly.

Dyckman Beach

From I-196: Exit 22, turn west off of exit ramp onto North Shore Drive. Cross Blue Star Highway. and follow around curve. Located to the right of the only Stop sign on North Shore Drive. $10 per trip parking fee (credit card or cash).

Dyckman Park

536 Phoenix Street - South Haven

Named for A.S. Dyckman who came from New York in 1838. He was a partner in building the first steam mill and the first hotel in South Haven, and was also Mayor in 1902. The Dyckman family gave the city the land for this park. Park has benches, picnic tables, and public restrooms. Farmer’s Market, Ice Rink, and free parking are located in the Huron Street Parking Lot (539 Huron Street) next to the park.

Elkenburg Park

Ellen Avery Park

Ellen Avery Park is located at the end of North Shore Drive. Enjoy the beautiful views and watch the boats go by. Benches. Free parking.

Hartman Park

Kal-Haven Trail Head

Enjoy a hike, bike ride, horseback ride, or a leisurely stroll on this 34-mile trail from South Haven to Kalamazoo. Travel through small towns, countryside, beautiful wooded areas, and pass points of historical interest. Towns along the way have food and lodging for trail users. Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Snowmobilers must have the Michigan Snowmobile Permit.

Kid's Corner

Wooden play structure designed and built by kids and adults of South Haven, includes, a maze, boat, slides, rope bridge, tire bridge, and more. Park is ADA accessible, has grills, picnic area, play equipment, restrooms, a shelter, and a sports field. Free parking. Stairs to public South Beach across the street. Perfect for a family day at the park. 

Kids Paradise Playground

Paw Paw's outdoor entertainment center seats nearly 500 people. Catch Summer Concerts on the Lake on Sunday nights during July and August. Public boat launch. Public restrooms. Free parking.

A great place for picnics and family fun! New swing sets, a climbing gym, grills, picnic pavilion, and bathrooms. Public beach. No lifeguard on duty.
