Kick off Independence Day in South Haven with Light Up the Lake Fireworks, a beloved lakeshore tradition. On July 3, head to the waterfront for a free, big-sky show launched from the North Pier, where fireworks burst over Lake Michigan and shimmer over the water.
Arrive early evening to claim a spot with chairs and blankets as the shoreline fills in, then settle in for a show that begins around dusk. Popular viewing areas include North Beach, South Beach, and Riverfront Park.
Plan to arrive early, expect heavier traffic and limited parking near the water, and bring a light layer for the cooler lake breeze after dark!
