Join us as maritime historian, author, and underwater explorer Valerie van Heest celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States by exploring one dozen shipwrecks that together provide an overview of not only the history of the Great Lakes, but that of our nation. This multimedia lecture depicts the events that led to the founding of America and changes to the landscape of North America and the shipping industry over the next two and half centuries.
Tickets are free for Museum members and $10 for non-members. Doors open at 6 PM. You can purchase tickets for this event online, over the phone, or in-person.
