City of South Haven Releases Security and Traffic Plan for July 3 Fireworks Display
• Water Street will close to the public at 9:00 a.m.
• Both piers will close at 9:00 a.m. to establish the required launch safety zone during fireworks setup.
• Command posts will be located at the North Beach Triangle and the South Beach parking lot west of the Water Filtration Plant.
• All bags, coolers, and containers are subject to search prior to entry onto North and South Beaches. Prohibited items include alcohol, amplified sound devices, and glass containers.
• Alcohol and amplified sound devices are not permitted on any City beaches. Visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly.
• Animals are not allowed on City beaches.
• Smoking of any kind, including tobacco and marijuana products, is prohibited on all City beachesn and in parks.
• Individuals involved in disturbances or fights may be subject to arrest and issued trespass notices from City property.
• Parking regulations will be strictly enforced. Vehicles parked illegally or creating safety hazards will be ticketed and towed.

• The final Dyckman Bridge opening for marine traffic will occur at 9:30 p.m.
• The bridge will then remain closed to marine traffic until approximately 11:15 p.m.
• After reopening, marine traffic will resume, and vehicle traffic will be directed out of the city in accordance with the established traffic plan.
• Please be aware that traffic volumes on this day are significantly increased and may result in delays. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, remain patient, and stay attentive while traveling throughout the area.
These measures are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending this premier lakeshore event.
