Overview
The 2026 Bailey Fall Conference, “Of Gardens and People,” brings gardeners, naturalists and conservation advocates together Saturday, October 17, at Lake Michigan College’s South Haven campus. Keynote speaker Danae Wolfe, author of Grass Isn’t Greener, will present “From Fear to Fascination: Rewilding the Mindscape,” exploring how curiosity and observation can reshape our relationship with the natural world. Additional sessions will cover native plants, permaculture, night gardens, forest bathing and Liberty Hyde Bailey’s perennial gardening philosophy.
The conference runs from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Admission is $35 for Bailey Museum members and $40 for the general public, with lunch included.
