Michigan Maritime Museum Announces Free Admission First Sundays of the Month
South Haven, MI — The Michigan Maritime Museum invites visitors to enjoy free museum admission on the first Sunday of each month from November through April. This special offer gives both residents and visitors the opportunity to explore the Museum’s exhibits and discover the rich maritime heritage of the Great Lakes region at no cost.
“We love opening our doors and making the Museum accessible to everyone,” said Bailey Sisoy-Moore, Executive Director of the Michigan Maritime Museum. “Whether you’re a longtime supporter or visiting for the first time, Free First Sundays are a great way to experience the stories, artifacts, and spirit that make maritime history come alive.”
Guests can explore the Museum’s indoor and outdoor galleries, featuring a mix of permanent and rotating exhibits that celebrate Michigan’s rich maritime history. Be sure to explore the Museum’s collection of antique and historically significant boats, some dating back to the 1800s.
While at the Museum, don’t miss the chance to learn a classic sailor’s skill by practicing maritime knot tying in the Jerry Mason Learning Center.
