Operated by the Van Buren County Historical Society, this museum is housed in the historic 1884 county poorhouse. This building is on the state historic register. There are four floors of historic items, including a one-room school, a general store, housing period products and the music room highlights musical memorabilia. Other rooms include an old-fashioned kitchen, turn of the century parlor, old dentists office and military room. A replica of a log cabin and a blacksmith works are also on the grounds. The last tour is at 4pm--Museum open June thru September.
