Kidzone Preschool & Childcare Center, LLC

Kidzone was founded in January 2000 and now operates 2 centers both located inside of Lake Michigan College in South Haven and Benton Harbor. We serve over 200 children between the ages of 2 weeks and 12 years. Kidzone Centers are open throughout the year, generally Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Our caregivers are nurturing, loving professionals who are trained in health, safety, and education. Staff receives 10 hours of Kidzone Orientation with the Director and Lead Teacher and 24 hours of ongoing trainings throughout the year.
All staff must have certification in Infant/Child CPR, First Aid, blood borne pathogen training, and back to sleep training. The Center requires criminal background checks and DHS Neglect/Abuse Clearances on all staff and volunteers who have contact with any children.
The Infant Program (6 weeks-18 months)
We provide a fun new learning environment for our youngest children to explore. They will discover the world around them through books, music, play, outside activities, art, and fun. The curriculum in this room is age appropriate for their needs.
The Toddler Program (18 months-3 years)
This is our transition room for our little ones. This room will get them ready to enter into our preschool program at three. The environment will continue to allow them to explore more and more things around them with the help of our teachers. They will be introduced to colors and shapes in a fun and creative way. We will introduce potty training in this room in conjunction with our families.
The Preschool Program (3 years-5 years)
This program is a full extensive curriculum that will prepare our children for Kindergarten. This classroom will have an educational theme each week and will be the basis for all activities. The cildren will learn through science, math, art, language, Home living, and play. We use "Creative Curriculum" and "Zoo-Phonics" programs.
Drop in Service and B/A School Program (6-12 years)
This program will provide an environment where they can relax, socialize, and continue to learn. The teachers will provide help with homework and provide a structured environment in which the children will feel comfortable.
Kidz on Kampus Program (6-12 years)
We have summer camps that involve Girl & Boy Scouting and on campus activities with weekly field trips in the community. It offers educational curriculum that will be fun. They will gain confidence, new friends, and learn good values of helping others. At the end of the summer we have a traditional scouting ceremony where the children will receive their awards and the whole family will be there to celebrate with them.
