This time of year is filled with pumpkin carving, apple cider, falling leaves, and, of course, haunted attractions. During South Haven’s Haven Harvest Festival on October 19th and 20th, the Michigan Maritime Museum will once again host their Fright Nights event. Now in their fourth year, this Museum fundraiser promises scares not for the faint of heart. “Each year we’re working to make this event even scarier than the last,” says event organizer Ashley Deming. This season’s Fright Nights theme is Slaughterhouse. “Think Wrong Turn and Hannibal combined,” says Deming. Staff and volunteers will transform parts of the Museum into a terrifying farm complete with inhabitants for victims…we mean visitors to try to make it out alive without being captured, processed, and packaged. If you enjoy being terrified in dark spaces and supporting local non-profits, this is the event for you! Tickets are now available online for $8, $10 at the door the nights of the event. This two-night-only event starts at 8 pm with last admissions at 11 pm. For event and ticket information visit www.michiganmaritimemuseum.org/events/ or call 269-637-8078.
