Jazz Festival, Huron Street Pavilion, Downtown, 5-10 PM, Feel the beats of a variety of jazz styles as some of the hottest jazz performers in Southwest Michigan take the stage for the Second Annual South Haven Jazz Festival. Bands include: Opening Ceremony: South Haven Men's Chorus, Jephri Carey and the What Not Band with Cecile Savage, Turbulence, Andrew Fisher Quartet. Beer and wine will be available for purchase and food by Taste.

Downtown Fun, All day, Enjoy shopping, food and drinks from our locally owned boutiques, shops and eateries. Be sure to check out the Event Merchant Partners listed below who are eager to greet their “Smooth” guests!
Farm Market, Huron Street Pavilion, 8 AM – 2 PM, A treasure trove of locally grown fruits and vegetables, plus a great selection fresh baked bread and pastries, USDA certified beef and pork products, honey, maple syrup, homemade jams and jellies and other uniquely prepared foods. Items for your home and garden are also available!
Lakeshore Harvest Ride, 8 AM – 5 PM, Join in the fun with the Lakeshore Harvest Ride! A beautiful, picturesque bicycle tour through rolling countryside near the shores of Lake Michigan. Cyclists will pass by scenic cider mills, wineries, family farms, orchards and more and can even stop and sample the harvest! Go to www.lhride.com to register and for more information.
Beach Glass Crafting, Riverfront Park, 10 AM – Noon, The South Haven Center for the Arts invites you to make your own beach glass jewelry with the help of their experienced artisans. Glass, materials and instructions provided, donations to the Center for the Arts appreciated.
Black River Open Paddle, Black River Boat Launch, 10 AM - Noon, Join Michigan Maritime Museum members, students, volunteers, and other paddlers for a beautiful fall paddle on the serene Black River in South Haven. Paddlers can bring their own equipment or rent from one of their event partners (Outpost Sports and SoHo Kayak Paddleboard Rentals). Depart from the Black River Park public boat launch for a leisurely paddle up the river and back. Paddlers are encouraged to visit the Museum after the event and enjoy local craft brews with their participant discount at the South Haven Brewpub. South Haven Center for the Arts, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, The South Haven Center the Arts invites you to join them at their new exhibit opening: "With [re]Purpose – 9th Annual Juried Exhibition". One man’s recyclables can truly be another’s treasure. With [re]Purpose features artwork created by regional artists that repurposes recycled materials into something beautiful and sustainable. With this exhibition the artists and the SHCA hope to create an awareness of the importance of responsible consumption to help protect earth’s global ecological footprint – we all live downstream.
Local Artists and Blue Coast Artist Tour Self-guided tour from 11 AM – 4 PM, Get the behind-the-scenes look into twelve artist studios and galleries. Oil painting, pottery, woodworking, jewelry making, “carved air” metalwork, ceramics, and stained, blown and fused glass are all on the tour. Maps are available at the Visitors Bureau or online at Blue Coast Artist Tour. Featured local artists will also be included in the tour: Last Resort, Tipsy Brush Studio, Artworks, J. Martin Gallery and South Haven Center for the Arts.
Riverfront Grill Riverfront Park, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Have lunch along the water featuring a variety of unique mouth-watering specials from local restaurateurs! Relax and enjoy some great food overlooking the beautiful Black River Harbor. Live Jazz music from the Elaine Dame Duo will perform as you sample delicious menu items. Tickets are $1 each with the number of tickets needed to purchase various food choices posted at each grill master location. Here’s who and what’s on the menu so far:

Professional Chalk Artists Riverfront Park, Noon – 3 PM, Watch professional chalk artists Sam Dustin, Megan Cannon and Kayla Wyszinski transform a section of the sidewalk at the Riverfront Park along the Black River as they take on a South Beach scene.
Street Musicians Throughout town, Noon – 5 PM, Catch a variety of music performed by local artists on street corners throughout town.
Street Magicians Throughout town, Noon – 5 PM, Be entertained and amazed with the sleight of hand performing artists on the streets of downtown South Haven, with illusionists Don Voyt and Mike Rieck.
Jazz Festival Huron Street Pavilion, Downtown, 5 PM – 10 PM, A variety of Jazz styles with some of the hottest jazz performers in Southwest Michigan taking the stage. Bands include: Kalamazoo Youth Jazz Combo, Benje Dameman's Search Party, Edye Evans Hyde, and Lake Effect Jazz Big Band.
Light Up the Night, 5k for South Haven Public Schools, 5:30 PM, This family oriented 5K rock and glow walk/run is being held to raise money to support enrichment opportunities for the students at South Haven Public Schools. This unique course will begin at the L.C. Mohr High School and offers great views of the Lake Michigan Sunset. Come in your light up gear and be ready to rock and roll along the course ending with a Light up the Night concert. Family Fun Activities begin at 5:30, race begins at 7:00. Mermaid Experience, South Beach, 6:00 – 7 PM, Visit with the Mermaids of the Great Lakes as they greet the public and provide photo opportunities. You’ll love seeing them swim in the shallows of South Beach and listen as they share short stories of their “Lake Michigan underwater observations”. Learn fun facts about mermaids and listen to fantastic sea shanties and mermaid music.

Nat Spinz (www.Facebook.com/NatSpinz) and Leela entertain and amaze. Join in the fun with glow in the dark bubbles and giant bubbles too!
Drum Circle (Sunset at 7:53) South Beach, 7:30 - 8:00 PM, Here’s your chance to participate in the beat of the drum circle and get ready for the sunset to light up the sky. Musician Josh Dunigan brings his drums and expertise!
