South Haven Garden Club's Spring Fling at The Elks Lodge

Kick-off Spring Break with the South Haven Garden Club’s Spring Fling! Children can meet the Easter Bunny, have their photos taken, take part in fun activities like planting a seed with Club Members, and enjoy light refreshments upstairs at the Elks Lodge.

Michigan Maritime Museum
260 Dyckman Avenue | April 3 - April 7
Take a family field trip to the Michigan Maritime Museum for fun and interactive exhibits in addition to a week-long series of drop-in nautical Spring Break programs daily from 10 am to 3 pm:
- April 3: Art activities all day. Drawing from Model Ships workshop with Sarah Rydecki (South Haven Center for the Arts), Fantastical Fish workshop with Joan Bonnette 1 pm - 2:30 pm. Joan's current installation, Pisces Spiral, will be on display at the Museum until April 14th.
- April 4: Ship Communication & Sport book reading with author Pam Cameron
- April 5: Invasive Species & Great Lakes Stewardship with Alex Florian (SWxSW Corner Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area- Van Buren Conservation District)
- April 6: Buoyancy & Water Safety with the Coast Guard Auxiliary South Haven Flotilla
- April 7: Lighthouses & Navigation

The Mitten Children's Museum
246 Broadway Street | April 3 - April 8
Youngsters can take on a different STEAM challenge each day at the Mitten Children's Museum. Open Monday through Friday, 10am - 3pm. Visit year-round to explore Michigan-themed activities for children of all ages and abilities. The Mitten provides a place for kids and their families to explore, learn, and make lifelong memories through play.

South Haven Center for the Arts
600 Phoenix Street | April 4 - 5
Spring Break ARTucation classes for age groups 5-8 & 9-12 will take place on April 4th and 5th. Young artists can enjoy creating their own Mixed Media Collages using paint, paint pens, markers, and stickers on plexiglass from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm, and big kids can create their own free-form portraits at Peculiar Places in Perspective from 12:30 - 2 pm. Don't forget to explore the current Shine Bright student art exhibit for inspiration from other young artists!

South Haven Memorial Library

South Haven's bright, spacious, and newly renovated library is a great place to kick off your Spring Break with crafts, storytime, and more STEAM activities!
- April 3: Chomp & Chat from 1pm-2pm | for grades 6-12. Students will talk about a favorite book while enjoying a snack
- April 4: Storytime with Miss Doni from 11am-12pm for Pre-K children, but younger and older children are welcome during Spring Break!
- April 4: STEM Club with Ms. Cindy Human from 6pm-6:45pm for K- 3rd Grade
- April 5: Learning About Butterflies and Growing a Bean Plant, from 11am-12pm for Pre-K-5th Grade
- April 6: Fun with Beat, Crafts and Make a Bracelet or a Key Chain from 11am-Noon for Pre-K- 5th Grade
