Across the street from the Black River Preserve and nestled on the Black River Heritage Water Trail is where you’ll find this campground. If you love exploring the outdoors, Black River Trails Campground is surrounded by South Haven’s natural scenery. There are tents, small campers, and cabin sites all with electricity and water available and either a view of the forest or river. If you don’t own a tent, the park offers teepee-style tents that you can rent in addition to your site fee. The campground is full of things to do with canoe and kayak rentals on-site, fishing, hiking at the preserve, and local beaches just a short drive from the campground.
Camp S'more South Haven is a seasonal campground that lies just 2 miles from the shores of Lake Michigan where you can enjoy South Haven’s white, sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets. A beautifully manicured park and a family-friendly atmosphere boast 86 full hook-up 50 amp sites. It's just a short 3-minute drive to enjoy local boutiques, farmers market, and restaurants. You'll be close to all downtown attractions, but still able to enjoy a quiet, country atmosphere while onsite at the park. Camp S’more is also located just a few minutes from the famous Sherman's Dairy and the Kal-Haven bike trail.
Covert Park Beach & Campground
Nothing says summer like sleeping among the dunes. Covert Park Beach & Campground is located just ten minutes from South Haven in the small town of Covert. While it may be one of the smaller campgrounds in the area, you’ll enjoy a quieter environment covered by shady trees. The pet-friendly campground has a total of 62 sites, including primitive sites deeper in the woods and developed sites with water and electric hook-ups for RVs. Get a group together and reserve Covert’s group site for up to 16 people or one of their four on-site cabins. The beach is only a five-minute walk from the campsites and you can rent paddleboards and kayaks right at the campground.
Jensen’s RV Park & Motel is a family-owned campground and motel that has been a South Haven vacation destination since the 1920s. You’ll automatically feel the family-friendly and welcoming vibe the minute you come to Jensen’s. The campground consists of over 80 RV sites including full hook-up, pop-up and seasonal sites. There’s also a well-maintained motel located in the center of the park that provides another affordable accommodation option. The park features clean public restrooms with showers, wireless internet, access to First Street Beach and a recreation hall to get to know other campers. Even with downtown South Haven nearby, the park still maintains a quiet atmosphere for a relaxing vacation.
Both RV-ers and tent campers are welcome at Kal-Haven RV Park. What makes this campground unique is that it’s located right on the Kal-Haven Trail and the Black River. This means you’ll have endless opportunities for biking, hiking, tubing, fishing and boating during your camping days. All the RV sites have sewer, water and electric. In a separate area of the campground, there are several primitive tent camping sites for different group sizes. Pets are welcome at Kal-Haven and its located just a half-mile from the beach and a quarter mile from Downtown South Haven.
